பெண்களூர்-0 8

* சென்ற வாரக் கடைசியில் பெங்களூர் புத்தகக் கண்காட்சிக்குச் சென்றிருந்தேன் (பேலஸ் கிரவுண்ட்ஸில்). நான் போன சமயம் கூட்டமே இல்லை. எல்லாக் கடைகளிலும் நிம்மதியாகப் புத்தகங்களைப் பார்க்க முடிந்தது. கூட்டம் இல்லாததால் புத்தகங்கள் ஒழுங்காக அடிக்கியபடியே இருந்தது. கிழக்கு பதிப்பகத்தில் நிறைய புதிய புத்தகங்களைப் பார்க்க முடிந்தது. ( வாங்கிய புத்தகம் மனிதர்களும் மர்மங்களும் - மதன் ). அனுமதி டிக்கெட் 20/= என்பதால் சரியான ரெஸ்பான்ஸ் இல்லை என்றார் நியூபுக்லேண்ட் ஸ்ரீநிவாசன்.

* பெங்களூரில் இப்போது தலைக்கு அவசியம் தலைக்கவசம் ( அதாங்க ஹெல்மெட் ). முன்பு தி.நகரில் ஹெல்மெட் அணிவதின் அவசியத்தை வலியுறுத்திப் போடப்பட்ட வாசகம் “To protect your software, wear this hardware!”. பெங்களூர் ரோடுகளுக்குக் குறுக்கே டிவைடர்கள் போடத் தொடங்கியுள்ளார்கள். காலையில் போன சாலை மாலை வேறு மாதிரி இருந்தால் இது தான் காரணம். கொஞ்சம் ஜாக்கிரதையாகப் போக வேண்டும்; இல்லை என்றால் டிவைடரால் கார் டிவைட் ஆகும் அபாயம் இருக்கிறது. ஹெல்மெட்டின் அவசியத்தை பற்றி எனக்கு ஈ-மெயிலில் வந்த இந்தப் படம் நன்றாக இருந்தது.

* ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை பெங்களூரில் உள்ள மூன்று கோயில்களுக்குச் சென்றிருந்தோம். முதலில் ISKCON. நல்ல அழகான கோயில். கோயில் கூரை மேல் அழகான ஓவியங்கள். பார்க்க வேண்டிய இடம். கிருஷ்ணர் சிரித்துக்கொண்டு ராதையுடன் டான்ஸ் ஆடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் விக்கிரகம் அழகாக அலங்கரிக்கப் பட்டிருக்கிறது. கோயில் உள்ளேயே பக்கோடா, கேக், ஜிலேபி, ரசமலாய், ரசகுல்லா, குலாப்ஜாமூன், புளியோதரை, சர்க்கரைப் பொங்கல், லெமன் ரைஸ், வடை, தயிர்வடை, மிளகாய் பஜ்ஜி, கோபி மஞ்சூரியன், கேக், பாதாம் பால், ரோஸ் மில்க் எல்லாம் கிடைக்கிறது. இதை எல்லாம் சாப்பிட்டு வெளியே வந்தால் சுடச்சுட பருப்பு சாதப் பிரசாதம் தருகிறார்கள். இருங்க சார்/மேடம், எங்கே கிளம்பிட்டீங்க? இஸ்கான் பற்றிய படங்கள் செய்திகள் பார்க்க http://www.iskconbangalore.org/. தினமும் 90,000 ஏழைக் குழந்தைகளுக்கு இவர்கள் சாப்பாடு போடுகிறார்கள்.

அடுத்து இஸ்கான் எதிரே இருக்கும் பிரசன்ன ஆஞ்சநேயர் கோயிலுக்குச் சென்றோம். ஒரே கல்லில் 22 அடி உயர ஆஞ்சநேயர், இதன் சிறப்பு அம்சம். 1960ல் 13 ஏக்கர் பொட்டல்காடாக இருந்த இந்த இடத்தில் 22 அடி கல்லில் ஆஞ்சநேயர் உருவம் மட்டும் வரையப்பட்டிருந்தது. பிறகு 1968-1973 முதல் மெதுவாக மக்கள் இந்த இடத்துக்குக் குடிபுகுந்தார்கள். கல்லின் மேல் பெயிண்ட் அடித்த அஞ்சநேயரை வணங்கிய மக்கள், பிறகு 1975 அதை அப்படியே செதுக்கினார்கள் ( செதுக்கியவர் ஷண்முகாநந்தா ). கடைசியாக JP நகரில் உள்ள வெங்கடேஷ்வரா கோயில். உள்ளே அஞ்சநேயர், பிள்ளையார், கிருஷ்ணர், ரங்கநாதர் (மிக அழகானவர்), நரசிம்மர், வெங்கடாசலபதி, தாயார் என்று பார்த்துக்கொண்டே வந்தால் கடைசியில் கொஞ்சம் புளியோதரை தருகிறார்கள். வெங்கடாசலபதி விளக்கொளியில் தரிசனம் (அதாவது மின்சார விளக்கு இங்கு கிடையாது.)

* பெங்களூரில் மஞ்சள் சிகப்பு கொடிகள் தெரியவில்லை என்றால் பக்கத்தில் உள்ள டாக்டரைப் பார்ப்பது உத்தமம். எல்லா வண்டிகள், (குழந்தைகளின் மூன்று சக்கிர வண்டி மற்றும் ஏரோப்பிளேன் தவிர), கட்டடங்கள் என்று எல்லா இடங்களிலும் இருக்கிறது. இது கன்னடக் கொடி. கன்னட பக்ஷா(Kannada Paksha) என்ற கட்சிக்காக இது தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது. இன்று அந்தக் கட்சி இல்லை; ஆனால் கொடி மட்டும் இருக்கிறது. கன்னட ராஜ்யோத்ஸவா (Karnataka Rajyothsava) போன்ற நாள்களில் நகரமே மஞ்சள் சிகப்பு தான்.  ( கர்நாடகா, ஆந்திரா, கேரளா என்று மொழி அடிப்படையில் தனித்தனி பிரிக்கப்பட்ட நாள் இது  முழுவிவரம் தெரிந்துக்கொள்ள வெங்கட்டின் பதிவை படிப்பது அவசியம் )

* சென்னை அடையார் ஆனந்த பவன் இப்போது A2B (Adyar 2 Bangalore ) என்ற பெயருடன் நிறைய வந்துவிட்டது. மஞ்சள் தட்டுக்களில் சாப்பிடுவதற்குக் கூட்டம் அலை மோதுகிறது. உட்கார இடம் கிடைத்தால் உங்கள் ராசி என்ன என்று எனக்கும் சொல்லுங்கள். BTM பெட்ரோல் பங்க் பக்கத்தில் இருக்கும் A2B கடை முழுவதும் கண்ணாடியினால் ஆனது. கடைக்கு மேல் மஞ்சள் சிகப்பு கொடி. ஒரு பாதுகாப்புக்குத்தான். ;)

மேம்பாலத் தகவல்கள்: ஏர்போர்ட் ரோட், இன்னர் ரிங் ரோட் சந்திப்பில் மேம்பாலம் கட்டிமுடித்துவிட்டார்கள். இது ஒரு பெரிய சாதனை. நான் பார்த்த போது எப்போதும் ஒருவர் தான் வேலை செய்து கொண்டிருப்பார். மரத்தஹல்லியில் பாலத்தை விரிவுபடுத்திகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். முடிந்தவுடன் சொல்கிறேன்.

    Hello Desikan, 'Bangalore' series is very good..since you are interested in books..do visit 'The Bookworm' store in Brigade Road (in a cross cut road).The best part of this book shop is, they have such a wide variety of old and new English books + best collections + used books. Of all these, they are grouped under different genres of literature like Pre-war,Postmodern,Modern. Best thing is that the owner of this store,Krishnan, is very knowledgable about the books and will refer good books if you tell him the genre. I was fortunate to read good books like 'Tin Drum','Pearl' 'cause of him.

    Also some very good old books shop in Church street end.

    excellent illustrations. I could not get the copies thereafter, when
    I desired to presnet.

    கண்காட்சிக்குப் போனீங்களா? நானும் போயிருந்தேன். கிழக்குப் புத்தகக் கடைக்கு நானும் போனேன். மூனு புக்கு வாங்கினேன். பத்ரி இருந்தாரு. அவர் கிட்டயும் பேசினேன்.

    இஸ்கான் நானும் போயிருக்கிறேன். கோயில் என்ற வகையில் என்னை அவ்வளவாக கவர்ந்த இடமல்ல அது. நான் வந்த புதிதில் காத்தாடிக் கொண்டிருந்த கோயிலில் இப்பொழுது காற்றடிக்கக் கூட இடமில்லாத நெருக்கம். காரெல்லாம் அடியில கண்ணாடி வெச்சு சோதிக்கிறாங்க. அந்த அனுமார் கோயிலுக்கும் போயிருக்கிறேன். ஒரு நண்பனுக்காக.

    Been a regular visitor to this restaurant for an year. Six months back, 2/3 hooligans threatened to smash the restaurant citing poor service and made them to close it for an evening. The cops near by didn't do much to chase them away. Perhaps, this should have made them to hoist the flag.

    Their banana leaf service is pathetic, though the food is good.
